Q: Would this be silly to do to a 1969 Ford Mustang?
Would it sound ridiculous to put turndowns on a 1969 Ford Mustang with a 302 engine? Or... Would it be a fun thing to do while saving for electronic cutouts?

A: turndowns are only an appearance item and add little to your exhaust system, so guess if thats the look you want go for it...personally i do not think they suit a mustang. electric exhaust cutouts are a good installation for both sound and performance flow through. cheers 04 cobra

Q: Do you love the classic 1969 ford mustang and why?
If you love the 1969 ford mustang tell me why and if you have one tell me what it looks like. If you dont have one then tell me what your mustang would look like if you had one. The best answer will get 10 points.

A: I love the 1969 Mustang the most out of all of the Mustang models that is the year that still had the style of the 1st 2 generations but was the size of a full-size muscle car not the little pony car it started out to be. If I were to get one I would paint it a candy black with 3 stripes following the curve of the body their colors in order would be White, Silver, Dark Grey. It would have a low profile Aero hood scoop which would feed the monster of an engine a 514. It would have a 2-tone leather interior that is black and white and a license plate border that said "Here Hemi Hemi"

Q: Is it possible to get a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 for $20k?
I'm turning 17 soon, looking at the car market a lot, and I have a new found respect and obsession for classic cars. Today I stumbled upon this beauty of a car known as the 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1. It looks like the new Mustang, which I knew was a retro version of this version. But the classic model looks much tougher and rugged. I was wondering if it is possible to find a nice restored one like this one: http://homepages.ius.edu/tguelda/MUSTANG1.jpg for like $20k? Would it be a bad idea to learn how to drive manual on this car as well? Most importantly, is it even safe, being an old car?

A: Sure, but it may need some work

Q: What is the best engine for a 1969 ford mustang gt?
Also i'm currently looking for a used or new 1971 ford mustang mach 1,

A: WHAT, a NEW 1971 Ford Mustang???? A Mach 1 at that? Am I to assume you are looking for one with one 7 miles on the odeometer... I've heard a few in existance. They exist but you'll need to go fishing with very large bait to get a bite. Used are available depending on condition/price but you may need to truck it half way across the country. As for the '69, the best engine is the same one that was in there when it was built, check the ID tag to get that information.

Q: what size motor is in my 1969 ford mustang, how can i get the information on it ?
is ther a website that can give me info from the v.i.n. ?

A: there were no V6's put in any Fords back then. Then engine code is the last LETTER in the vin number, but if you want anymore info, it's on the data plate along with the vin. just make sure the vin on the plate matches the one on the drivers fender top lip. there are several vin decoders on line and can be found with a simple search or go to our site and look at the links.. Here are a few of the possible 10 different engines offered in 69 from my Mustang Black Book. T =200 in i6, L=250 in i6, F=302 in v8, H=351-2V, M=351-4V, S=390-4V but if you think it has been changed, you will have to get a expert to look at it and determine what's in it.

Q: Can anyine tell me where I can get the value of a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1?
I went to Kelly Blue book and they can't look it up because it's to old of a car. It has a 351ci. engine and it got in a wreck but I need the value of it.

A: prices for those have gone astronomical, 7500 and up :) here is the gold book\ http://www.manheimgold.com/car_lo.html or NADA VALUE GUIDE! What's Your Classic Mustang Worth, only applies to stock cars http://www3.nadaguides.com/

Q: is it good to drive a 1969 ford mustang fastback regularly around town or to school ?

A: Yes, as long as you know how to maintain it yourself - tuneups, repairs, upgrades, etc. Nothing will teach you better. Up until a few years ago (health) I always drove 50's and 60's cars. I drove my '63 TR4 (retired my TR3 to weekends only) daily well into the 90's then moved up to a '65 Mustang. Just 2 years ago I sold my '71 that was a daily driver. Had a great time -- perhaps again someday. It's really good for the soul, have a great time with it!

Q: Are there any more 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429?
I dunno what it is about the car; but im amazed by it yet i cant seem to find it anywhere; not even dealerships. Is like any anywhere? This more like an oppion, is there some like where you live? I dont want to BUY one! I just wanted to know if there were any around still since Ford ended the model in 1970!

A: watch ebay.com there has been a couple on there this year... also on the B arrett Jackson Auctions...

Q: what is the estimated installation time that it takes to install an engine into a 1969 ford mustang?

A: depending o n the tools, equipment and skill you have it could take anywhere from a couple of hours to a couple of days.

Q: MPG for a 1969 Ford Mustang?
I'm thinking about getting myself a 1969 Ford Mustang with a 302 C I V-8 engine. Just out of curiosity how many MPG could I expect to get out of it?

A: Classic and MPG usually don't go together. If this is a cruiser you can put higher gears in it to increase mileage.(should get 14-15) With the manual you won't have problem . But won't be hot rod on the road . Your top speed may be better. Good luck LOSTIN90

Q: Can someone send me links to get pictures of the 1969 Ford Mustang?
need them for a project thanks in advance

A: just type in 1969 mustang pics. you will get tons of links!

Q: can you put a 2008 ford mustang GT engine in a 1969 ford mustang?
i would like to know because that would be wicked awesome and become my new favorite dream car. (that one day i will acquire by any means necessary.) ( :

A: Yes you can, and take advantage of all the new technology can give you. you will need to contact ford racing for a wiring harness. Ford sells a harness to just for such a swap. If you are looking at the using 4v dual cam heads it may be a tight fit. If it's two wide you can modify the shock towers just like ford did for the 429 boss engine. This may not be old school but it's a great swap. I have a 4.6 waiting to go into my 86 T-bird. follow your dreams, it's what hot rods are about.
