If not that, you can try papers with classified ads. Where I live, there is a full actual paper called "Old Car Trader" and a "Deals on Wheels." I'm sure every city has something like that.
How I actually found MY project car is through networking. I'm really into the car scene and know lots of car people... and just by word of mouth from one mechanic to another, I found my baby.

Q: 1967 Camaro tranny swap from turbo 350 to a 700R4, what changes/modifications do i need to do before install?
I have a 1967 chevrolet camaro w/ a 350 motor just recently installed. I am wanting to use a 700R4 transmission instead of my turbo 350 tranny, which is what used to be hooked up to it.
My question is what changes need to be made in order to fit the 700R4 in there correctly?
The 700R4 is 4 inches longer than my turbo 350 tranny!
So, obviously i will need a shorter driveshaft, but what other changes will I need to make in order to use this 700R4 tranny?
Will I need a different crossmember possibly?? And what else if anything do I need to do before installing the tranny?
A: what you will need deponds on which 7r trans but trans mount is easy littlle flat plate will move mount holes back if you use console shift you need shift plate for 4 sp auto late model camero will have one shift cable to carb needs abracket and stud or buy kit to do this from speed shop before you start this you need make trans manual torque convertor lock up trans shop can to this or you will not have 4 sp and lock up most 7 r were computor controled drive shaft is done by shop tat makes shaft conversion trucks etc do this lots you need torque convertor for trans and abuot 2 six packs but go trans shop first to have trans mod made unless you found 7 r that was manual controled

Yet the Camaro anf Firebird died and the Mustang
kept on rolling.
A: Yes it will be based on an Australian Holden platform. Hopefully GM will use more of the Holden designs.
